We took the chance of a lifetime to be at Justin Timberlake's Concert last year and it was hottt, peeps! Over 10,000 strong crowd filled Brisbane Entertainment Centre and hats off to JT and Gang, they did a great job performing for the fans.
Summer month but it was worth getting myself tanned for  Covered Chinatown, UnderWater world, Movie World, Koala & wildlife Sanctuary, ferry ride over Brisbane River. Awesome.. This post will be a loong one.

My friends are saying that Venice is sinking and soon will be gone. If its true then its gonna be a pity, no other city moves around with canals everywhere like here. Even the garbage collecting truck comes on a boat! 
From our hotel in Milan, we have to change 2trains to centrale station and from there bought another ticket straight to Venezia. The temperature is minus 3deg when we arrived, but its now or never.. so I told myself to keep on going. Well, it has to be really unfortunate that our train was stuck on the railway for close to 3hours. So happen that there're some problem with one of the major tracks, so we had to make a big turn using the other way. Darn, yes. The journey was delayed from 2.45 to 6 miserable hours whining on the train! 
Finally reached Venezia around 10pm, freezing cold + hungry and everybody is worn out, we need to find a place to crash for the night. There's 10 of us and seems like only one place is available that late, we agreed & paid 25euros each (approx. sgd50) for a 10bed apartment with shared bathrooms. Disebabkan oleh perut yg sangat lapar, we ran across the streets everywhere to look for food. Luckily there's few stalls that still open til late, I grabbed a lamb kebab & a slice of pizza margherita for myself.
The day starts as early as 8.30 the nex morning. Berbekalkan semangat yg berkobar-kobar, kami pun mencari port untuk bersarapan dulu. This explains the familiar McD pics u saw here Not much choice cuz mainly shops are not open yet.
How shall I describe Venice? See for yourself thru my humble Samantha.
Spent new year in Milan, dinner was miserable. Other than the new aircraft and CTS onboard, the rest is beautiful. Memorable as it sounds, sadly beau wasn't there to witness them with me.

Its Xmas at home this year. Went for 2days trip to Ranau, where the gigantic Mt. Kinabalu resides. Its a dizzy drive along the zig-zagging small roads on the way up, where you will have the chance to see suasana perkampungan luar bandar dan rumah-rumah yang didirikan di atas kawasan bukit. Terdapat juga gerai-gerai menjual buah-buahan dan sayuran yang segar dan murah belaka sehinggakan penduduk yg tinggal di bandar mahupun di luar daerah sanggup memandu berjam-jam utk singgah ke sini. I've heard from my sis-in-law that they even have this "Pesta Kubis" where farmers will take part in a competition to win the title of best Kubis in that district. cool eh. BTW, Kubis means Cabbage in english.
To be able to go to the place where your ancestors come from, where history of sabah is learnt, witnessing the beauty of mother earth, to be standing on the same level as the clouds and clear view of Mt.Kinabalu.. priceless.
Anyways Poring Hot Spring is undergoing some constructional process to conserve the area, but we manage to get turns for the hot tubs for all of us. Rendamlah selama beberapa minit dan anda akan lihat gumpalan minyak semulajadi (body fats) yg dikeluarkan dari badan kita akan terapung atas air. Janganlah lupa membawa makanan seperti sandwich, telur rebus, KFC atau sbgnya kerana selepas aktiviti berendam perut akan terasa amat lapar tanpa disedari. Tambahan pula jikalau makan berebut-rebut, mesti lagi sedap rasa makanan itu
Dalam perjalanan pulang, kami singgah di Balsam Cafe, Kinabalu Park. The experience wasn't memorable and to cut the story short, we walked out after having free meal thats costs almost RM70. 
My sis told me that she might go for the Mt. Kinabalu climb again somewhere in May, my cousin Topo is leading the hikers group. Sounds interesting, I feel obligated to ask beau to join me, akan tetapi saya tahu beliau adalah jenis tak gemar masuk hutan We'll see....

The time has finally come. Being the last batch of the year does give us the relieved memory, but the real challenge is to go out there and live up to expectations. It's not gonna be as relaxed as the training time.. Good luck to all.

PCL : Primer Guide Food Preparation & Presentation

It feels great to chill out once a while especially after agonising days of sitting in the classroom.. We learned mostly about product knowledge, food heating & presentation. It wasn't that easy especially for few of us who doesn't have any clue about culinary & cuisine... but like it or not, it's something that we have to keep on reading & practice until we get it. We will be called back in 3,4 months time for culinary grade.

The last time i went for a picnic was close to about 3years ago. I still remember playing BINGO with the severely pregnant Selina by the beach till sun almost set.. The outing today bring out the sweet memories, but this time we brought Tiffany,  which is even sweeter! The afternoon began to be cloudy, but it went away after a short drizzle.. Whoaa, never thought that Selina's 'Rain Rain Go Away' singing does work! It was fun.. and I get my chance to practice my mamarazzi shots...
